CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On May 22-23, former Queens University of Charlotte All-American
Todd Withers competed at the Professional Basketball Combine at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, a secondary combine event featuring 24 draft-eligible prospects designed to give players an opportunity to showcase their talents for professional scouts.
Withers will spend the next month working out for NBA teams prior to the NBA Draft on June 21, at Barclays Center in New York. Follow his journey below.
June 20

June 14
Withers participated in his fifth pre-draft workout for an NBA team, working out with the Denver Nuggets in Colorado. He competed alongside Thomas Welsh (UCLA), Donovan Jackson (Iowa State), Victor Sanders (Idaho), Dayon Goodman (Westminster-UT), and Tryggvi Hlinason (Valencia Basket).
June 10-11
On Sunday June 10th, Withers worked out with another unnamed NBA team before returning home to Charlotte. On Monday June 11th, Withers participated in the Charlotte Hornets sixth pre-draft workout alongside Matt Farrell (Notre Dame), J.P. Macura (Xavier), Jordan Capps (Southeastern Louisiana), Ria'n Holland (Mercer), and Tai Odiase (Illinois-Chicago). Monday's workout with the Hornets was the fourth for Withers in the pre-draft process.

May 24-25

After returning to Charlotte in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 24, Withers traveled to California in the afternoon to attend a pre-draft workout with the Sacramento Kings. Withers competed in Sacramento's third pre-draft workout on Friday, May 25, alongside Joel Berry (North Carolina), Jordan McLaughlin (USC), Billy Preston (Igokea), Dusan Ristic (Arizona), and Jock Landale (St. Mary's).
May 22-23
At the PBC, Withers underwent combine-style testing, posting the fastest time in the ¾-court sprint (2.79 seconds) and the fastest time in lane agility (10.71 seconds). Out of all prospects competing in both the PBC and the official NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, Withers posted the fastest ¾-court sprint time and the sixth-fastest lane agility time.
Withers measured at 6'7½", 208 pounds, with a wingspan of 7'0½" and a standing reach of 8'9". He recorded a standing vertical jump of 27.5 inches and a max vertical jump of 34 inches. He also clocked a time of 3.26 seconds in the shuttle run.
In his first 3-on-3 scrimmage, Withers scored nine points and tallied six assists. In his second scrimmage, Withers led the game in scoring and rebounding, posting 24 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one block on 8-12 FG, 6-9 3PT, and 2-2 FT. Competing against athletes from the University of Florida, the University of Louisville and Louisiana State University among other former high-major Division I standouts, Withers led his team to victory.
After competing, Withers interviewed with the Warriors, Clippers, Pistons, Wizards, and Kings.
