CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team, ranked No. 32 in the latest ITA rankings, earned its second straight win with an 8-1 victory over Coker College on Thursday afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex.

The Royals led 3-0 after doubles play, collecting their first point via an 8-1 win from the sophomore tandem of Agustin Aran Martin and Sebastian Meum at No. 3, the duos fifth straight victory. Another sophomore, Julian Bosch, combined with freshman Joel Dunlap for an 8-3 win at No. 1, followed by another 8-3 win at No. 2 by senior Andor Vas and freshman Kasper Rolfsen.

"We came out firing today in doubles. Joel and Julian played a great match at the top and that set the tone," said Head Coach Billy Boykin. "Our young guys down low sealed it up in singles. They continue to improve with each outing."

Dunlap earned the team's first point in singles play, winning 6-1, 6-0, before Meum sealed the match decision with a 6-1, 6-0 win of his own in the No. 4 spot.

Aran Martin was a 6-1, 6-3 victor at No. 3, while Rolfsen won 6-0, 6-2 as the No. 5 singles player. Bosch, ranked No. 16 among singles players in the Southeast Region, used three sets to pick up the Royals' final point with a 5-7, 6-2, 10-7 victory.

Queens concludes its three-match homestand on Saturday, March 31, when the team welcomes No. 10 Wingate University to the courts for a 1 p.m. match.
