THE SHORT STORY:
The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team dropped its ASUN opener to FGCU on Sunday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. Despite Alex Morris and Noe Villen securing a 6-4 win on the No. 1 doubles court, the Eagles took the two remaining courts to secure the doubles point and gain early momentum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Alex Morris controlled the No. 2 court in singles action, taking the first set 6-4 and jumping ahead 4-0 in the second set before going unfinished.
-On the No. 6 singles court, Gavin Ryan controlled the opening set, winning 6-2. The sophomore was battling in the second set and held a 6-5 advantage before going unfinished.
-After dropping the opening set 6-0 on the No. 3 singles court, Diego Jimenez worked his way back into action as he trailed 3-2 in the second set before going unfinished.
-The visiting Eagles captured three singles points on courts one, four, and five as they won each in two sets to clinch the win.
