Box Score HARROGATE, TENN. – The fourth seeded Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team was knocked out in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament by top seeded Lincoln Memorial by the score of 95-67 on Sunday, March 13th. This was the third meeting between the two schools this season with the Railsplitters taking all three matchups, the last ending the Royals season with a 25-7 record.

Queens shot 40 percent from the field but were able to connect on 10-of-20 three pointers in the game. The Royals were outrebounded by only five, 35-30, but were able to grab 12 offensive rebounds in the game.

Sean Morgan led the Royals with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.
Marquis Rankin and
Rob Lewis also scored in double figures with 17 from Rankin and 11 from Lewis.

Queens jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead over Lincoln Memorial as Lewis hit a jumper with 17:36 to play in the first half. The Railsplitters answered with a run of their own, grabbing their first lead of the game after going on a 9-2 run that gave them an 11-9 lead with 13:34 left on the clock. Both teams would continue to battle in the first half as the Royals regained their lead following back-to-back three pointers by
Kendall Jones and Lewis, giving them a 24-23 lead with just over seven minutes to play in the first half. The Railsplitters would answer right back, going on a 17-6 run with Gerel Simmons scoring the last nine points of the half, to take a 43-31 lead over the Royals.

The Royals would fight hard with the Railsplitters to start the second half as
Todd Withers' three pointer kept the margin at 11 points as the Railsplitters led 52-41 with 15:04 left on the clock. Lincoln Memorial would then go on a 14-3 run that was sparked by six straight points from Luquon Choice that would vault them to a 66-44 lead with 11:16 to play in the second half.
Ben Richter drained two three pointers in a row to make the score 80-53 in favor of the Railsplitters with 7:07 on the scoreboard. The Royals were unable to catch up to Lincoln Memorial in the second half as they fell to the top seeded team in the bracket, 95-67.

Gerel Simmons led the Railsplitters in scoring with 25 points, five rebounds and four assists. Luquon Choice added 22 and Jalen Steele scored 16 as the other two players to score in double figures for Lincoln Memorial. With the win, Lincoln Memorial moves on to face seventh seeded Lenoir-Rhyne in the Sweet 16.
