CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's basketball teams return to action tomorrow afternoon as they welcome Mars Hill University to the Levine Center for a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader. The women will tip-off at 2 p.m. followed by the men at approximately 4 p.m.

Queens' women enter 2014 with a 3-6 overall record led by senior forward
Shonice Pettaway who is currently averaging 16.4 points and 4.9 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Nikia Squire is averaging 11.4 points this season. The Royals are 2-3 so far in their first season in the SAC.

The Lions are coming to Queens at 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the SAC. Junior guard Ansley Ricker is leading Mars Hill this season averaging 15.4 points per game. Sophomore forward Kelsey Espinosa is averaging 12.4 points and 8 rebounds per game.

The two teams last met on November 23, 2010 with the Lions coming out with an 80-75 victory.

The Queens men are 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the SAC with senior guard
Jarrett Stokes averaging 20.6 points per game. Senior forwards
Brent Evans and
Josh Clyburn are averaging 13.8 and 13.6 points, respectively, while junior
Nkosi Ali averaged 13 points in two showings. Evans is leading the team in rebounding with 9.8 boards per game.

Leading the Lions this season is sophomore guard Carter Wright who is averaging 16.4 points per game. Jalen Witherspoon and Devonte Williams are averaging 13.8 and 13.3 points, repectively, while Isaiah Cuthberston is averaging 12.1 points. Mars Hill is 2-8 on the season and 0-5 in the SAC.
