CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team defeated Coker College yesterday afternoon in convincing fashion winning 7-2 in their first conference win of the season. The Royals improved to 7-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference. The Cobras are still in search of their first win of the season.
The Royals came out ready to play winning all three doubles matches of the day by scores of 8-3, 8-3, and 8-5.
In singles play
Christiaan Lee-Daigle (Tecumseh, Ontario, L'Essor Secondary School)set the pace winning the his match in the first spot 3-6, 6-2, and 6-1.
Jonathan O'Rourke (Auckland, New Zealand, Kings College) followed defeating his opponent 6-1 in both sets.
James McKinzie (Austin, Tex., Lake Travis) and
Matthew Abramowitz (Scarsdale, N.Y., Edgemont) also won their matches for the Royals.
Queens is back in action at Pfeiffer University of April 9.
