CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The No. 31 Limestone College men's tennis team defeated the Queens University of CharlotteRoyals, 8-1, on Sunday afternoon. Queens drops to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in Conference Carolinas while Limestone improves to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Queens lost in all six singles flights.
James McKinzie (Austin, Tex., Lake Travis) took his opponent, Paulo Avila, to an extra set after coming back from a 4-6 loss in the first to win the second 6-1. He fell in the rubber match 11-9.
Doubles partners
Christiaan Lee-Daigle (Tecumseh, Ontario, L'Essor Secondary School) and
Jonathan O'Rourke (Auckland, New Zealand, Kings College) won in the first flight, 9-8 (7-3).
Queens hosts Catawba on March 31 at 3pm.
