Tennis blanks Catawba

Women's tennis wins 9-0.

SALISBURY, N.C.- Queens University of Charlotte knocked off Catawba 9-0 in women's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon at the Johnson Tennis Center.  The Catawba Indians conclude the fall portion of the season with a 4-2 record while the Royals improve to 4-0.

Queens did not drop a game in recording the victory. The Indians didn't go down with out scoring any points as previous opponents have against the Royals, but Queens stayed strong to win each game. Morgan Roberts (Fort Pierce, Fla., Treasure Coast) set the pace for the Royals at the number one spot as she has in previous matches. Candace Hall of Catawba forced a second-set tiebreaker in her loss to Hewit Hawn (Naples, Fla., Community School of Naples).

The Royals will complete their fall season on Saturday against Columbia College at 10:30 a.m.
