Chris Enriquez has been selected as the Ocotber InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month. Enriquez finished off an amazing October by earning the Conference Carolinas’ Freshman of the Year Award with his runner-up finish at the league championship. His time of 24:38.3 ranks him as the sixth fastest performer in Conference Carolinas' championship history and the fastest freshman ever by far. His performance helped the Royals to their third consecutive conference team title with an impressive low score of 25 points.

Earlier in the month, Enriquez finished 22^nd out of a field of 124 runners at the Royal Cross Country Challenge and helped his team to a runner-up finish in the Di/DII mixed field of 19 teams. He was also the Royals’ top finisher in the Greater Louisville Classic finishing 34^th out 240 competitors in the largely Division I field. He was also the top true-freshman finisher as well, posting a personal best time of 24:46.14.
