ELON, N.C. — Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's cross country opened the 2026 season Friday night at the Friday Night Lights – Elon Opener. The Royals' men's team finished eighth with 201 points, while the women's team placed 10th with 270 points.

The Queens women finished 10th with 270 points, while the men's team placed eighth with 201 points. Elon won the women's team competition with 21 points, while Catawba captured the men's team title with 66 points.
