HOW IT HAPPENED
Following the week off, Queens entered the match fresh and ready to go. The Royals' energy was evident early as they controlled possession and outshot the Blue Hose seven to five in the first half. Queens also won the corner kick battle seven to one, with six of them coming in the second half.
Making his fourth start of the season and 10th overall appearance, Kyriakos Christotodoulou scored his first goal of the year off a header from a beautiful cross from
Isaac Chromey.
Before halftime, Presbyterian answered back to equalize the score as in the 30th minute Hayate Furumoto fired a perfectly placed shot in the corner of the net, just getting past the outstretched arms of
Evan Hart, who earned his third start of the season and totaled one save in the effort.
After tying the score in the first half, Presbyterian made a costly mistake in the 61st minute on a goal kick when miscommunication resulted in an own goal for the Royals. This proved to be the deciding scoring factor in a 2-1 Queens victory.
