THE SHORT STORY
Queens University of Charlotte was run-ruled 12-1 in the final game of the series against visiting University of North Florida in Atlantic Sun Conference action this afternoon at The Stick.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With one down in the bottom of the first,
Grayson Childers was hit by a pitch to reach first. He advanced to second on a groundout to the second baseman and then moved to third on a wild pitch.
Thomas Mathay's RBI double to center field allowed Childers to score to give Queens a 1-0 lead.
- North Florida tied the game with its own RBI double in the top of the second, but in the fourth, the Ospreys broke the game open when they plated eight runs on five hits to take a 9-1 lead.
- The Ospreys added three more runs in the top of the fifth to push their lead to 12-1.
- North Florida's bullpen allowed three hits for the remainder of the game to secure the win and the series.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Childers has scored in five straight games and 20 on the season. He closed out the series, going 1-for-3 with a run scored today. Childers finished the series going 5-for-11 with four runs scored, a home run, and three RBIs.

Matthew Suppa and
Bradley Brown each finished the day going 2-for-3.
- Mathay tallied the team's only extra-base hit in the form of a double to go 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Lenox Lively recorded the Royals' only walk of the game.
- Starting pitcher
Matthew Eagen made his first appearance since April 10. Â He allowed two hits and a walk in an inning of work.
- Reliever
Jack Clevidence took the loss to fall to 1-2 on the season. He allowed eight runs (three earned) on five hits in two-thirds of an inning.
