THE SHORT STORY
Queens dropped a straight-set match to No. 20 Purdue Fort Wayne Thursday night. The Royals were most competitive in the opening set, but couldn't sustain against an efficient, nationally-ranked Mastodon offense.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Queens came out sharp, hitting .409 in the first set and staying within reach before Purdue Fort Wayne closed late for a 25-18 win. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Queens hanging around early with solid rallies before falling 25-19. In the third, the Royals ran into a hot Purdue Fort Wayne attack that hit .600, leading to a 25-12 final.

BY THE NUMBERS
Rylan Colman led Queens with seven kills on .556 hitting, while Casey Maas also added seven kills. Connor Dell contributed six kills, and Charlie Podgorny dished out 20 assists. Queens finished with 25 kills and a .100 hitting percentage as a team.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Colman was the most efficient option for Queens offensively, while Maas and Dell provided additional production on the pins. Podgorny continued to distribute the offense effectively, keeping multiple hitters involved throughout the match.
