QUEENS (18-13 OVERALL, 13-5 ASUN)

THE MATCHUP
Friday night marks the seventh all-time meeting between Queens and West Georgia, and the third this season, as the regular season series was split 1-1. The quarterfinals showdown marks a matchup between the league's two newest programs, but these squads are very familiar with each other, having played twice as Division 2 programs. Queens holds a 5-1 lead in the all-time series with the Wolves.

WATCH PARTY
For Queens alumni and Royals fans who can't make it to Jacksonville, you can head over to Empire Pizza in Pineville for a Queens watch party. The festivities will get underway at 7:00 p.m., and you can register your friends and family here.

LAST TIME OUT
Queens wrapped up the regular season with an 84-79 loss to the co-regular season champions in Central Arkansas. Going into the game, the Royals had already clinched the third seed, while the Bears needed a victory to claim a share of the regular season title and the top seed in the tournament. The Royals weren't able to overcome a slow start as well as 11 second-half turnovers, which the Bears converted into 14 points.

TOURNEY TIME
Queens holds the No. 3 seed in the ASUN Tournament, their highest seeding since joining the league, as this year marks their first year eligible for the NCAA Tournament. The Royals have won a game in the ASUN Tournament every season, and are coming off their first semifinal appearance last season. Since joining the league, the Royals postseason journey has ended every year to the eventual tournament champion (2023-Kennesaw State, 2024-Stetson, 2025-Lipscomb).

ALL-ASUN ANNOUNCEMENTS
Three Royals earned ASUN All-League honors in the official announcement this week. Yoav Berman was named Second Team All-ASUN, Avantae Parker was named Third Team All-ASUN, and Jordan Watford was named All-Freshman. This trio, plus the veterans Nasir Mann and Chris Ashby, propelled Queens to a first-round bye in the tournament behind elite scoring and distribution.

EVERYBODY EATS
Queens has seen five different Royals reach double figures in the same game 15 times this season. The Royals are 1-of-3 teams in the entire country with six guys averaging double figures (Florida and Miami - Ohio)

GROOVING AT THE RIGHT TIME
Heading into the tournament, Queens was in a rhythm as the Royals had won six of their last eight, including four straight. The only losses during that stretch came to both co-regular season champions in Central Arkansas and Austin Peay.

NCAA TOP 100 SHOOTERS
Sharpshooter Chris Ashby is tied for 57th all-time in NCAA history for three-pointers made. The Houston, Texas native is second all-time in ASUN history for threes made, behind Darius McGee (528; Liberty)

STRONG SECOND HALVES
Queens has started slowly the last four games as the Royals trailed at halftime in 3-of-4 games. However, the Royals have found a groove in the second half on both sides of the ball, scoring 52.5 points on 59-percent shooting in the second half during that stretch. On defense, Queens is allowing 43.0 points on 46-percent shooting over the final 20 minutes.

STREET DOGS
A new face behind the Royals bench, Buddy, has become a staple in the Royals locker room. A new tradition started this season, head coach Grant Leonard awards Buddy, a hollow replica of a dog, to the "Street Dog of the Game," or the person who makes an energetic impact in the game. Buddy sits by that player's locker until the next game and has even made appearances in the postgame press conferences.

CRASH THE GLASS
West Georgia ranks second in the league in rebounding, averaging 36.5 rebounds per game. The Wolves crash the offensive glass well and bring down the third-most offensive rebounds per game.

SHOT BLOCKING
West Georgia leads the league in blocks with 5.1 per game, as Javar Daniel and Kenneth Chime are in the top three in the league in swats.

ALL-ASUN STANDOUT
