PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team improved to 3-5 on the season this afternoon with an 8-5 win over UMass Lowell. The Royals now lead the series with the River Hawks, 2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, Queens was able to score the only three goals of the second quarter to take a 5-3 lead at the half.
A goal from the River Hawks with 11:54 on the clock in the third closed the gap to one, 5-4, but the Royals'
Will McKay and
Ryan McDaniel responded with back-to-back goals to increase the gap to three, 7-4, heading into the final 15 minutes of play.
Queens and UMass Lowell each added one more goal to the board in the fourth period to give the game its final score.

- Ryan McDaniel and Lincoln Huskey each scored two goals to lead Queens. Ethan Scaffidi added one goal and three assists.
- The Royals put 23 shots on goal, outshooting the Lakers 31-28.
