CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte fell 17-10 this afternoon in a women's lacrosse battle with Davidson (6-0) despite
Kayleen Favreau netting five goals for the second consecutive game. The Royals' record now sits 0-6 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Following back-to-back goals scored by Queens'
Lexy Stevenson and
Anna Bednarz, Queens lead 3-2 with 5:35 left in the first quarter. The Wildcats then closed the period with four unanswered goals to take a 6-3 lead into the second. The Royals added one more goal to the board before half to trail 6-4 at the break.
Sienna Wyatt scored the first goal of the second half at 12:08 in the third to cut the margin to one, 6-5, but Davidson soon responded with three straight to increase their lead to four, 9-5. A goal from Favreau stopped the run at 5:20, but two more goals followed for the visitors to put them on top 11-6 heading into the final period.
In the fourth, Davidson maintained its lead to secure the win, outscoring the home team 6-4 in the quarter.

- Senior attacker Kayleen Favreau totaled seven points, totaling five goals and two assists. She also tallied three ground balls and one caused turnover.
- Anna Bednarz added two goals and one assist.
