CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team hosted Furman University (2-1) this evening, falling 14-10 to the Paladins. With the loss, the Royals move to 0-5 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a goal from Furman's Lily Toole put the Paladins in front by 10 to spark the running clock with 12:08 left in regulation,
Kayleen Favreau fed the ball to a cutting
Sienna Wyatt who scored and brought things to a halt again at 10:48. Wyatt then scored the Royals next goal less than a minute later on an assist from
Camryn Myers before Favreau put three straight into the back of the cage to cut the lead to five. A goal just under the two-minute mark from
Lexy Stevenson would be the final goal of the night, as the Royals closed the gap to four with six unanswered goals before the final horn sounded.
