JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Queens University of Charlotte men's swimmer Matheus Przewalla was named the ASUN Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office this afternoon following a standout weekend against nationally competitive fields at Virginia Tech and South Carolina. This marks his second weekly honor of the season.
Przewalla recorded four podium finishes across the two meets, showcasing his versatility in both individual medley and breaststroke events. His top performance came in Blacksburg, where he captured first place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:48.49 against Virginia Tech.
The sophomore continued his strong form against South Carolina, earning a second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. He also added two third-place results in the 100-yard breaststroke, placing on the podium in both meets.
Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale praised Przewalla's efforts following the recognition. "Matheus has been working extremely hard, and to have the swims he had was fun to watch," said Dugdale. "I am proud to see the ASUN Conference recognize those swims."
Przewalla's consistent high-level performances against Power Four opponents were instrumental in the Royals' weekend efforts.
