THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team saw its eight-game winning streak at home come to an end on Wednesday evening in a 100-90 loss inside Curry Arena. The Royals struggled to find answers defensively in the second half as the Bears shot a scorching 57 percent from the field as they outscored the Royals 60-45 over the final 20 minutes of action.
BY THE NUMBERS

Carson Schwieger led the Royals with 17 points, matching his career-high, while adding three rebounds and one steal.

Yoav Berman added 16 points, five rebounds, a career-high seven assists, and one steal over 29 minutes of work.

Jordan Watford turned in his ninth straight game in double figures with 11 points while adding three rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Maban Jabriel came off the bench and supplied 16 points, tying his career high, three rebounds, and two assists over 20 minutes of action.
-Camren Hunter led the Bears with 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the field while Cole McCormick and Luke Moore both added 20 points.
-Central Arkansas outrebounded the Royals 31-26 on the evening as Queens fell to 4-7 on the season when losing the battle on the glass.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-After the Bears second-leading scorer Ty Robinson was subbed out due to early foul trouble, the offenses exchanged buckets before a quick 7-2 run from Queens propelled the Royals ahead 13-11 with 13:48 remaining in the first half.
-Central Arkansas would chip their way back into the contest and regain an 18-13 lead. However, Queens caught fire from the perimeter, sparking an 11-0 run over two minutes to jump back ahead by seven. During the run,
Chris Ashby,
Nasir Mann, and
Carson Schwieger connected from deep.
-Trailing 67-62 with 10:54 remaining in the game, Central Arkansas found a groove, ripping off a 17-5 run to grab a 79-72 lead. During the run, Camren Hunter supplied 11 points, including the dagger, which was a turnaround jumper through the contact before burying the free throw.
-Queens continued to attempt chipping away at the deficit, but the Bears converted 14 more free throws and answered every Royals shot with one of their own to hold onto the 10-point victory in Charlotte.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Queens knocked down 10 threes in the first half, which tied for the second most in a single half this season.
-The Royals suffered their first loss of the season after taking the lead into the halftime break. Queens had strung together 10 straight wins when leading at half prior to Wednesday night.
-With his fourth three-pointer on the night,
Chris Ashby moved into the NCAA's Top 100 all-time for three-pointers made.
