Feldman Nets First Goal of the Season in Battle at Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In their sixth all-time meeting, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (4-4-1 overall, 0-0-1 ASUN) dropped a Tuesday night non-conference clash at Wofford College (4-5-1). Despite the setback, Queens generated a season-high 16 shots and placed a season-high seven on goal.

SCORING SUMMARY
5' – Wofford – Kalle Rahbeck (Assist Stewart Patnaud)
60' – Queens – Michel Feldman (Assist Valter Salavuo)
82' – Wofford – Nathan Simes (Unassisted)

TURNING POINT
After taking a 1-0 deficit into halftime, Queens remained poised and ramped up their attack. In the 60th minute, Queens earned their first corner kick of the night and made it count. Sophomore Leontios Zacharia sent the ball into the box, and the Terriers backline attempted to clear. However, the clearing attempt found Valter Salavuo at the top of the box, and the sophomore booted a shot on goal. Veteran attacker Michel Feldman proved to be in the right place as he deflected the shot into the right side of the net to even the score. The equalizer lasted 22 minutes before Wofford capitalized on a Queens miscue to net the game-winner in the 82nd minute.
