NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Under the Saturday night lights in Nashville, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (4-4-2 overall, 0-0-2 ASUN) played the Lipscomb Bisons (1-6-3 overall, 0-1-1 ASUN) to a scoreless draw at the Lipscomb Soccer Field. The shutout marked the Royals fifth of the season, as they rank in the top 15 in the nation in clean sheets.
KEY STATS & NOTES
- Sophomore goalkeeper Matheus Rhormens recorded his 10th career clean sheet in his 22nd career start. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native smothered the only shot that the Bisons got on goal.
- Freshman Kyriakos Christodoulou led the Royals attack with a season-high three shots, including two on goal across 64 minutes of work.
- Veteran attacker Michel Feldman logged his sixth multi-shot outing of the season, and fourth straight with two shots, including one on frame. Defender Cole Pumpian added two shots, including a great look at the game-winner as time expired.
- Eight separate Royals, including Otto Gustafsson, Sindri Sigurdarson, Vitor Baptistelli, Anthony Brown, Jaiden Anderson, Valter Salavuo, Maximos Grafakos, and Hakon Halldorsson, added a shot.
- Queens outshot the Bisons 15-11, including a 6-1 mark on target. The Royals have turned in double-digit shots in six outings this season, including three consecutive matches.
- Despite 11 corner kick opportunities from Lipscomb, the Queens backline held strong and erased every opportunity.
- Five Royals, including Otto Gustafsson, Cole Pumpian, Nathan Tozzi, Valter Salavuo, and Matheus Rhormens logged complete games.
