CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball and head coach
Jen Brown have officially announced their 2025-26 season schedule, highlighted by 14 home games inside Curry Arena at the Levine Center and a competitive ASUN Conference slate beginning in January.
The Royals are coming off a milestone-filled 2024-25 campaign that featured the most points scored in a game in program history (108), the most field goals made in a game (46), and the most overall wins since 2018-19. It also marked just the second season with double-digit victories since 2012-13 and the program's most ASUN Conference wins since joining the league.
"We're incredibly excited about the schedule we've put together this season. Facing a national powerhouse like South Carolina and going up against a battle-tested program like James Madison, last year's Sun Belt regular season champion, gives us the kind of high-level competition that will challenge and sharpen us," said Brown. "We've intentionally built a tough non-conference slate to prepare us for the ultra-competitive ASUN.
Queens opens the regular season at home on November 3 when the Royals welcome Gardner-Webb to Curry Arena.
The non-conference slate features home matchups against Mars Hill (Nov. 6), Carolina University (Dec. 14), and NC Central (Dec. 17). On November 9, Queens will travel to James Madison for a special homecoming game for coach Brown and assistant coach Toia Giggets. Brown enjoyed a standout playing career with the Dukes before later returning to serve as an assistant coach, while Giggets was also a key contributor during her time in Harrisonburg.
The schedule also includes a marquee showdown at South Carolina on November 23, where the Royals will face one of the premier programs in women's college basketball. The Gamecocks, led by legendary head coach Dawn Staley, have captured multiple SEC titles and national championships. This matchup marks the fourth preseason Top 25 opponent Queens has faced in its non-conference schedule since transitioning to Division I, continuing the program's trend of testing itself against elite competition.
Additional road contests include trips to Winthrop (Nov. 15) and Western Carolina (Dec. 7), while Queens will also host USC Upstate on Dec. 20 to close out the 2025 calendar year.
ASUN Conference play begins on January 1 at Bellarmine, followed by the Royals conference home opener against Eastern Kentucky on January 3. Key home dates include Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 17), North Alabama (Jan. 22), Austin Peay (Feb. 11), and Jacksonville (Feb. 18).
The regular season concludes February 28 at Central Arkansas before Queens heads into the ASUN Championship, beginning March 3.
"Every game is an opportunity to row. We're focused on raising our standard every day, and this schedule sets the tone for that," said Brown.
