RESULTS
HIGH POINT, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams had a great weekend of competition at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point. Many Royals turned in top 10 performances in the Queens record books at the event.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Josiah Ford also set a new school record in the triple jump with a jump of 14.07 meters. He took eighth place and now holds the indoor and outdoor school records in the event. Michael Robinson posted a mark of 13.19 meters, which sits sixth all-time at Queens, and Amir Muhammad recorded a jump of 12.50 meters, which sits 10th on the list.
- Jakob Nutzel recorded a mark of 56.59 meters in the discus throw to sit just under his school record.. He took third place in the event ahead of Zsombor Takacs, who placed 13th.
- Alex Mannel took 13th place in the long jump with a mark of 6.67 meters while Ford took 22nd place.
- Enrico Busato took 13th place in the shot put with a throw of 14.78 meters. His mark is sixth all-time at Queens.
- In field events for the women, Vesna Kljajevic took second place in the shot put with a throw of 14.83 meters. The throw matches her second all-time mark at Queens. She also took 21st place in the javelin throw.
- In jumps, Heloise Louiset placed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.81 meters. She is now fourth all-time in the event at Queens. Jada Brown recorded a jump of 11.19 meters in the triple jump, which is ninth all-time at Queens. In the high jump, Marissa Klamorick and Halle Perry recorded jumps of 1.50 meters to place eighth and 10th, respectively.
- On the track, Brown also raced in the 100-meter dash, finishing 27th in 12.37 seconds for sixth all-time at Queens.
- Perry took 20th in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.07 seconds. The time sits 10th all-time in the event.
- Chandon Smith finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.83 seconds. The time sits sixth all-time at Queens.
- Tate Kwaiser raced to a 31st finish in the 100-meter dash in 10.93 seconds, which is seventh all-time at Queens.
- In the 1500 invite, Simone Mouras finished 10th in 4:47.31.
- Rowan Shannon finished second in the 800-meter run in 2:16.92 while Lina Mills-Zacapa placed 11th in 2:19.13.
- In the men's 1500, Noah Boeck took second place in 3:57.65.
- Uriah Aili took fifth place in the 800-meter run in 1:55.13. Amari Ned was 20th in 1:57.69.
