JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Andreas März, Matt Shanahan, and Tova Andersson made the the 2024-25 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Swimming All-Academic teams, announced Wednesday by the league office.

The Academic All-ASUN Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better and participated in at least half of their team's contests.

"Tova, Andreas, and Matt have earned the right to be ASUN All-Academic through their hard work both in the pool and in the classroom," Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale said. "All three have learned how to perform on demand and do an excellent job balancing academics and athletics. All three are leaders built for life!"

Andreas März: Majoring in Finance & Analytics, boasting a 3.77 GPA. Additionally, März is a Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society member and was part of the MSFA Residency Leadership Excursion. In the ASUN Championships, März was a Gold winner in the 200 Back (1:44.12), and in the 200 medley relay (1:25.67), Silver in the 200 Back (47.43).

Matt Shanahan: Double-majoring and Accounting & Finance and boasting a 3.82 GPA, Shanahan is part of the Royals Honors Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, Royals Leadership Academy, and the Queens Business Club. Shanahan had a second-place finish in the ASUN Championships in the 400 IM.

Tova Andersson: The only member of the Royals women's team to make the women's ASUN all-academic team, Andersson majors in psychology and sports a 3.95 GPA. Andersson earned fourth in 400 IM (4:20.27) in the ASUN Championships.
