CHARLOTTE, N.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team (0-2) traveled to face No. 19 Richmond (2-0) this afternoon, falling 15-8 to the Spiders on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Richmond jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the opening quarter of action before extending their lead to seven, 10-3, at the halftime break. The Spiders then held the Royals scoreless in the third quarter to head into the final 15 minutes of play on top, 13-3.
The Royals offense came alive in the fourth quarter when
Elise Grissett fired the ball into the back of the cage at 14:33. She then scored two more goals to make the score 13-6. A goal from
Kayleen Favreau at 7:40 capped Queens' 4-0 run and gave the game a 13-7 score. Richmond then closed the game with a 2-1 push to secure the win.

- In goal, Devan Maready finished with 11 saves.
