CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens University of Charlotte men's volleyball head coach Roger Peluso has announced the addition of Harris Boyes to the Royals' coaching staff as assistant coach. Boyes brings a wide range of collegiate and club coaching experience to the Queen City, along with a proven history of athlete development, program leadership, and program growth across multiple levels of volleyball.
Boyes arrives at Queens after serving as the head men's volleyball coach at Thomas More University, where he oversaw all aspects of the program, including recruiting, practice design, budget operations, and fundraising. Prior to Thomas More, he guided both the men's and women's volleyball programs at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
Before taking on head coaching roles, Boyes spent two seasons as the assistant men's volleyball coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University. There, he helped direct the Knights' scouting, match preparation, and academic oversight while supporting the program through its early years at the Division I level.
Across his coaching career, Boyes has mentored athletes who have earned All-America recognition, conference player and setter of the year honors, and numerous postseason accolades. His leadership has contributed to conference championships, NCAA Tournament appearances, and nationally ranked teams. He has also coached extensively at the club and youth levels, including regional all-star teams and programs that achieved top-three national finishes.
Boyes expressed his excitement for joining the Royals, stating, "Thank you to Head Coach Roger Peluso and the Queens University athletic administration for this opportunity. I'm excited to build strong relationships with our student-athletes and continue growing Queens into a premier destination for men's volleyball."
A native of Pennsylvania, Boyes earned his bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University with a leadership emphasis in sport management. His background in recruiting, athlete mentorship, community engagement, and operations will support the Royals as they continue building momentum within the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA).
Queens enters its third season competing in the MIVA as preparations for the 2026 campaign continue.
