QUEENS (5-5 OVERALL, 0-0 ASUN)

THE MATCHUP
Sunday night will mark the first-ever regular-season matchup between Queens and Wake Forest. The two programs met in 2017 for an exhibition in Winston-Salem, and the Demon Deacons narrowly escaped with a 76-74 victory over a fierce Royals program that ended up advancing to the NCAA Division 2 Final Four.

LAST TIME OUT
Queens took down South Carolina State inside Curry Arena on Friday night. Five different Royals reached double figures as Nasir Mann led the charge with a career-high 23 points. Redshirt sophomore Carson Schwieger added a key performance in his third start with 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting from downtown, both of which tied his career-high.

QUICK TURNAROUNDS
Sunday night will be the second game of a three-game stretch over five days for Queens. The Royals will head to No. 17 Arkansas on Tuesday, December 16th, to round out the quick trip.

C2
Twin brothers Carson Schwieger (Queens) and Cooper Schwieger (Wake Forest) will match up against each other on Sunday night. It will be the first time the Overland Park, Kansas, natives have been on the same court since their time at Valparaiso last season.

SCORING OFFENSE
The Royals have been one of the nation's highest scoring Mid Major offenses this season, averaging 85.5 points per game, a mark that ranks 60th in the country. According to KenPom, the Royals rank 86th in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency which is the highest amongst ASUN programs.

FIVE FOR 10
Scoring runs deep throughout the Royals lineup this season as Queens has seen five guys reach double figures in the same game on five occasions this season, including the last two outings.

CENTURY MARK
Queens has reached the century mark in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2021-22 season. The Royals took down Gardner-Webb 107-74 before handling South Carolina State 102-78 last outing.

ELITE SHOOTER
After breaking the single-season school record last season with 115 threes made, sharpshooter Chris Ashby is 28 threes away from breaking the all-time school record set by Chris Benson in 2003. This season, the Houston, Texas, native leads the ASUN in threes made and ranks 38th in the country.

DISHING DIMES
The Royals have found success this season when dishing out at least 16 assists in a game, as they are 5-1 on the year when hitting that mark. Queens ranks second in the league in assists per game in part due to freshman Jordan Watford facilitating the offense with 4.0 per game, a mark that ranks sixth in the ASUN. Watford is averaging the most assists per game by a true freshman at Queens since Vashon Fullwood distributed 5.3 per game in 1991-92.

DOUBLE THE MANN
Senior Nasir Mann is having a career-best season, averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Mann ranks sixth in the league in scoring and eighth in rebounding and is coming off a career-high 23 points against South Carolina State. The Gainesville, Florida, native has reached double figures in eight straight games.

'TIS THE SEASON
Head Coach Grant Leonard has taken the college basketball world by storm with his Holiday sweater collection, which he debuted a little earlier this season at Virginia for Thanksgiving. The "Leftovers are for Quitters" sweater went viral on social media. Against South Carolina State, Leonard and the entire coaching staff sported Holiday sweaters for their annual Holiday Sweater Game.

STREET DOGS
A new face behind the Royals bench, Buddy, has become a staple in the Royals locker room. A new tradition started this season, head coach Grant Leonard awards Buddy, a hollow replica of a dog, to the "Street Dog of the Game," or the person who makes an energetic impact in the game. Buddy sits by that player's locker until the next game, and has even made appearances in the postgame press conferences.

WAKE FOREST (7-3 OVERALL, 0-0 ACC)
HOT START
Wake Forest enters Sunday night 7-3 on the season with two of those losses coming at the hands of AP Top 25 programs in Michigan and Texas Tech.

HOME COURT
The Demon Deacons have been a tough squad to take down inside LJVM Coliseum as they're 5-1 on the season at home.

OFFENSIVE BOARDS
Wake Forest is fierce on the offensive glass bringing down 13.3 offensive rebounds per game, a mark that is 67th in the country.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Juke Harris, a native of Salisbury, North Carolina, is the player to watch for the Demon Deacons. Harris leads the team with 20.7 points per game which is 20th in the nation and third in the ACC. Harris is also bringing down a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game.

PROVEN WINNER
Steve Forbes is in his sixth season at the helm of the Demon Deacons program. The 30-year coaching veteran has elevated the program nationally with multiple key victories over ACC opponents.
