CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the month of November, Queens Athletics is proud to recognize Beth Cook of women's triathlon and Nasir Mann of men's basketball as the FieldTurf Royals of the Month, honoring their standout performances and leadership. Additionally, women's soccer earned the Royals Service Award for their commitment to volunteer work throughout the month.
Beth Cook – Women's Triathlon
Cook delivered another exceptional championship performance on the national stage, finishing third overall at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship to lead Queens to a fourth-place team finish. Her podium effort secured her a place on the CTCA All-American First Team for the third consecutive season, marking the third All-America honor of her decorated career. Cook closed out the season as one of the nation's premier collegiate triathletes.
Nasir Mann – Men's Basketball
Mann put together a breakout month for the Royals, averaging a team-leading 14.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, establishing himself as one of the ASUN's most reliable two-way performers.
He opened the season with authority, recording his second career double-double behind 12 points and 10 rebounds against Winthrop. Mann then followed with a career night at Villanova, pouring in a career-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lead the Royals' offensive attack. His consistency places him inside the ASUN's top 10 in both scoring and rebounding, underscoring his conference-wide impact.
Women's Soccer: Royals Service Award
Queens women's soccer has earned the Royals Service Award for November, driven by the program's strong engagement and measurable community impact.
The Royals posted an impressive Team Impact Score of 37, reflecting their sustained and meaningful involvement in service initiatives throughout the month. The team centered much of its outreach around its top organization, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Animal Care & Control, contributing to one of Queens' most active and impactful community partnerships.
