THE MATCHUP
Wednesday night marks the fourth all-time meeting between Queens and Lynchburg, a series that first started in 1998. The Royals command a 3-0 series lead against the Division 3 program and took down the Hornets 90-39 inside Curry Arena last season.

BOUNCE BACK
Queens kicked off the 2025-26 college basketball season on Monday morning against Winthrop at the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon. The Royals weren't able to overcome 17 turnovers and a 6-for-30 performance from the perimeter as the Eagles took the opener 81-74.

Since 2013-14, Queens holds a 256-85 record inside Curry Arena, including a 13-2 mark in non-conference games since joining the Division 1 ranks.

DOUBLE THE MANN
In the season opener against Winthrop, senior
Nasir Mann notched his second career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, including five offensive boards. In the matchup with Lynchburg last season, the Gainesville, Florida native recorded a 14-point and 10-rebound double-double.

ACC TO THE ASUN
Newcomer
Gus Larson joined the Royals this offseason after spending two seasons at Cal. In his Queens debut, the 6-10 forward showed his experience with 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting while adding a pair of rebounds.

CERTIFIED SHARPSHOOTER
Chris Ashby enters his final season after being named the ASUN Preseason Player of the Year. The Houston, Texas native is coming off a season in which he broke the single-season school record with 115 three-pointers made. Ashby sits 61 threes away from breaking the school record set by Chris Benson in 2003.

Despite losing the nation's leading shot blocker
Malcolm Wilson, the Royals added Georgia Southern transfer
Avantae Parker. As a freshman in Statesboro, Parker swatted 40 shots, the second most amongst first-year players and eighth most in a single season.

FRESH FACES IN NEW PLACES
This offseason, Queens added 13 newcomers to the roster to help take on a 2025-26 schedule that features nine first-time matchups.

REBOUNDING GETS YOU PAID
The Royals prioritize crashing the glass and have ranked top three in the ASUN in rebounding since joining the league. Queens ranked fourth in offensive rebounding with 11.4 last season.

HIGH EXPECTATIONS
In just their fourth year in the league, Queens was picked to win the ASUN by the league's coaches, garnering six first-place votes. The Royals were picked third in the media poll behind North Alabama and Eastern Kentucky.

Junior guard Michael Gray, the team's leading scorer last season with 13.5 points per game, became the first Lynchburg performer since 2022 to land All-Conference honors last season.

Brothers Deondre Ross and Derek Ross Jr. reunited to play college ball together. Deondre averaged 7.5 points last season, while Derek enters his first year after setting his high school program record for assists.

WELL COACHED
Hillary Scott is entering his 18
th season at the helm of the Hornets program. Under his direction, Lynchburg has captured its first NCAA Division 3 Tournament victory and made its first appearance in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.
