In the first-ever meeting between Queens and Virginia on Friday night, the Cavaliers connected on 15 threes to route the Royals 94-69 on Black Friday. Senior
Nasir Mann led the Royals with a team-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.

"I want to thank Virginia and Coach Odom for the unbelievable hospitality and first-class experience, and for allowing us to play on this platform. I'm proud of our group. At any point, we could have given in, but we didn't, and I think there are some very positive things that we can take out of this experience that will help us going forward in league play.
BY THE NUMBERS

Nasir Mann led the offense with 18 points, the seventh game this season, the senior has reached double figures.
-Sophomore
Yoav Berman reached double figures for the fifth time this season with 10 points while also adding three rebounds.
-Rookie
Jordan Watford stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, a season-high five rebounds, and five assists.

Carson Schwieger earned his first career start and logged nine points, two rebounds, and an assist across 25 minutes of work.
-Virginia entered the matchup ranked 17
th in the nation in rebounding and won the glass 41-35. Despite being the second-ranked team in offensive rebounding, the Royals won the offensive glass 18-14.
Avantae Parker led the Royals with seven boards, including two offensive rebounds.
-Forward
Maban Jabriel recorded eight points and six rebounds over 21 minutes of work.
-Virginia spread the wealth offensively as six Cavaliers turned in double figures. Thijs De Ridder led the charge with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field.
-The Cavaliers entered the game fourth in the nation with 8.0 blocks per game, and matched their season average. Ugonna Onyenso led the way with four.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Virginia jumped out to a quick 13-5 lead heading into the first media break behind a hot 5-of-9 shooting start. The Cavaliers connected on their first three shots from deep as Sam Lewis led the charge with six quick points.
-Queens started to find a rhythm midway through the first half, specifically from downtown, as the Royals trailed 24-16 heading into the under-eight media break. The Royals used a quick 8-3 run behind a pair of threes from
Maban Jabriel and
Gus Larson to cut the deficit to eight.
-Leading 27-19 with 6:56 remaining in the first half, Virginia ripped off a 9-0 run, forcing a Queens timeout as the lead was back to 17. During the run, Chance Mallory and Johann Grunloh buried a pair of threes.
-Leading 54-39 with 16:29 remaining in the game, Virginia ripped off a 22-5 run to increase their lead to 32 heading into the under-12 media break.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-The Cavaliers were lethal from the perimeter, shooting 15-of-22, the most threes made by a Royals opponent since BYU hit 15 on November 13, 2024.
-Queens managed to convert their 18 offensive rebounds into 20 second-chance points.
-The Royals emphasis on defending the paint allowed for the Cavaliers to swing the ball around the perimeter and dish out 24 assists.
