THE SHORT STORY
In the seventh all-time meeting between two programs separated by 47 miles, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team distributed a season-high 23 assists leading to a 62 percent shooting clip from the field to take down Gardner-Webb, 107-74, inside Curry Arena.

FROM COACH LEONARD
"We were prepared for how they were going to defend us. But really, our entire offense is predicated on taking what the defense gives us. So, if they overhelp a lot of times, the kicks are going to be there, and you saw early in the game they were stretched out, so we got to the rim. I think in the second half we had fewer attempts inside because they decided to protect the paint more, which allowed Chris and Carson to hit threes. For us, it's just about making the right reads. "

BY THE NUMBERS
-Senior Nasir Mann led all scorers with 20 first-half points, finishing one shy of his career-high set earlier this season at Villanova. The Gainesville, Florida, product shot 8-of-12 from the field and also hauled in six rebounds.
-Avantae Parker was a force in the paint for Queens, totaling 18 points on 9-of-10 shooting, including a pair of rim-rattling dunks that shook Curry Arena. Parker also added five rebounds, two steals, and two blocks to his night.
-Making his third straight start for the Royals, Carson Schwieger added 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from downtown.
-Sharpshooter Chris Ashby inched closer to the all-time three point record with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting from deep.
-Maban Jabriel provided a spark off the bench with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal over 21 minutes of work.
-Newcomers Isaiah Henry and Gus Larson were instrumental off the bench for Queens combining for 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while also grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out three assists.
-Freshman point guard Jordan Watford facilitated the offense with seven points and a season-high nine assists.
-Despite the rebounding total being 38-38, Gardner-Webb capitalized on 18 offensive rebounds with 23 second chance points.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Royals started off the game dominating the interior on offense. Nasir Mann and Avantae Parker combined for Queens' first 11 points, with eight of those coming in the paint.
-Leading 11-7 at the first media timeout, the Royals went on a 10-5 run over the next three minutes, highlighted by a three-point jumper by Yoav Berman.
-Holding a 19-point advantage with seven and a half minutes left in the first, Queens allowed Gardner-Webb to cut into the deficit with a 13-7 run.
-Both teams traded blows throughout the first 10 minutes of the second half until a pair of free throws from Curtis Williams trimmed Queens' lead back down to 10 points. However, Queens responded fast as Jordan Watford hit two from the charity stripe, followed by back-to-back three-pointers from Chris Ashby to give Queens an 8-0 run in just 58 seconds.
-Gardner-Webb would never get the deficit below 17 for the rest of the game as Queens scored 37 points over the last 10 minutes, making six three pointers during that span.

FROM NASIR MANN
"It's just playing with effort. We don't go out there and play to certain matchups; we get out there to run the floor. We knew it was going to be a great game in transition, and that's something we excel at, so all I did was run the floor and allow my teammates to find me for shots I shoot every day."

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Queens dominated the paint, outscoring the Runnin' Bulldogs 50-28 under the basket.
-The Royals improved to 4-0 inside Curry Arena this season, and 16-2 in non-conference home games in Division 1.
-Queens connected on 15 three-pointers on the night which is tied for the second most this season. At home, the Royals are averaging an incredible 14.3 threes made per game.
