THE MATCHUP
Saturday afternoon marks the first-ever meeting between Queens and Sacred Heart, and the Royals second-ever meeting with a MAAC program. Queens took down Fairfield 69-63 at the Market Street Challenge on November 18, 2023.

LAST TIME OUT
Queens erased a 21-point deficit at Duquesne on Tuesday night to storm back and force overtime before the Dukes sealed the 87-81 win.
Yoav Berman matched his career-high with a team-high 22 points while adding five rebounds and four assists. The Royals dominated the glass in the second half 27-14 to propel the comeback effort.

The Royals welcome Sacred Heart to Curry Arena for a White Out theme, presented by Atrium Health. Queens is a perfect 3-0 in Division 1 in their white out themed games.

Nasir Mann has opened his final campaign strongly, averaging 14.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, both of which are career-highs. The Gainesville, Florida native tallied his second career double-double in the opener against Winthrop.

After being named the ASUN Preseason Player of the Year,
Chris Ashby has lived up to the honors, scoring 14.0 points on 42 percent shooting from downtown. The Houston, Texas native is coming off a season in which he broke the single-season school record with 115 three-pointers made. Ashby sits 48 threes away from breaking the school record set by Chris Benson in 2003.

MATCHUP PROBLEM
Sophomore
Yoav Berman enters his second season in Charlotte and has proven to be a tough matchup for opponents. The 6-6 guard has run point for the Royals and is averaging a team-high 16.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists through the first two weeks of the season.

CHAMPIONSHIP REBOUNDING
Since joining the league, Queens has ranked top three in the ASUN in rebounding every season. While it's still early, the Royals sit ninth in the league in rebounding, as they're being outrebounded by 6.8 per game. In their last outing against Duquesne, the Royals crashed the glass in the second half and won the boards 27-14.

Grant Leonard and the Royals prioritize playing fast and physical. However, through four games, Queens has committed the 10
th most fouls in the country, setting their opponents up for easy opportunities from the free-throw line.
