THE MATCHUP
Tuesday night marks the first all-time meeting between Queens and Duquesne, and the Royals fifth-ever matchup with an Atlantic 10 opponent. Queens has previously met George Mason (2), La Salle (1), and Richmond (1).

Facing Villanova in their home opener, Queens was unable to overcome 16 turnovers and 20 second-chance points from the Wildcats. Despite the loss,
Nasir Mann turned in a career-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting while adding five rebounds and two assists.

Senior
Nasir Mann has opened his final campaign strongly, averaging 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, both of which are career-highs. The Gainesville, Florida native tallied his second career double-double in the opener against Winthrop, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Mann is coming off a career-high 21 points against Villanova over the weekend.

After being named the ASUN Preseason Player of the Year,
Chris Ashby has lived up to the honors, scoring a team-high 13.4 points on 46 percent shooting from downtown. The Houston, Texas native is coming off a season in which he broke the single-season school record with 115 three-pointers made. Ashby sits 52 threes away from breaking the school record set by Chris Benson in 2003.

Yoav Berman enters his second season in Charlotte and has proven to be a tough matchup for opponents. The 6-6 guard has run point for the Royals and is averaging 14.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists through the first week of the season.

Since joining the league, Queens has ranked top three in the ASUN in rebounding every season. While it's still early, the Royals sit 10
th in the league after the first week of the season in rebounding, as they're being outrebounded by 10.3 per game.
AGGRESSIVE WITHOUT FOULING
Head coach
Grant Leonard and the Royals prioritize playing fast and physical. However, through three games, Queens has committed the 13
th most fouls in the country, setting their opponents up for easy opportunities from the free-throw line.

Queens is committing 15.7 turnovers per game early in the season, and opponents are capitalizing with nearly 17.0 points off those miscues. In Division 1, the Royals are 30-11 in games in which they commit fewer turnovers than their opponents.

Xavier transfer John Hugley IV is a player to watch for Duquesne after moving from Cincinnati to Pittsburgh. The graduate student is averaging 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

A First Team All-OVC standout at the University of Tennessee Martin, Tarence Guinyard joined the Dukes this offseason and is averaging 22.0 points and 6.0 assists per game to start the year.

Since 2018-19, Duquesne has won 35 straight games when keeping its opponents under 60 points. The Dukes enter Tuesday night ranked 29
th in the nation in three-point percentage defense, an area that will be tested with a Queens program that gets off 25.3 per game.

WELL COACHED
Dru Joyce III is in his second season at the helm of the program. In his first season, the Dukes ranked fourth in the A-10, yielding 67.3 points per game. Joyce spent two seasons as the Associate Head Coach before his promotion and helped Duquesne capture the 2024 A-10 Championship and the 11
th seed in the NCAA Tournament, where they upset No. 6 BYU in the opening round.
