ATHENS, Ohio. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (2-8) will leave Athens, Ohio, 1-1 on the weekend after falling to Ohio University (3-9), 2-1, in overtime this afternoon.   

INSIDE THE MATCH
Much like yesterday, the Royals struck early this afternoon as Hensley Miller found the back of the cage in the 11^th minute to give Queens a 1-0 lead. However, the Bobcats had an answer, scoring off a penalty corner to tie the game, 1-1, with just eight seconds left in the opening period.
 
The 1-1 score remained throughout play as Queens goalkeeper Madison Destefano turned away shot after shot from the Bobcats. The Royals saw a chance to take the win in the 54^th on a set piece off a penalty corner, but Miller's shot went just wide of the cage, which led the game to overtime.
 
In the extra period, Ohio used a fastbreak opportunity to sneak the ball into the cage in the 66^th minute to win the game.
