Royals Hit the Road to Face Austin Peay in Sunday Matchup

CLARKSVILLE, TENN. – Queens (14–8, 5–4 ASUN) hits the road Sunday for a conference matchup at Austin Peay. The Royals look to carry momentum from a dominant sweep of West Georgia, while the Governors (4–17, 2–7 ASUN) return home after falling to Lipscomb on Friday.

Queens rolled past West Georgia in straight sets Tuesday night inside Curry Arena, posting one of its most efficient outings of the year. The Royals hit .385 with 44 kills to just nine errors while limiting the Wolves to a .114 clip. Elizabeth Layson led with 11 kills on .625 hitting, Mia McMillen added 10 kills and five digs, and Emma Norris turned in eight kills at a .538 mark with four blocks. Queens also dominated from the service line with nine aces and seven team blocks to seal its 14th win of the season.

QUEENS NOTES

  • Queens averages 13.4 kills per set on .213 hitting while holding opponents to .198.
  • Emma Norris ranks among the ASUN's most efficient hitters at .299, adding 2.34 kills per set.
  • Elizabeth Layson (2.37 K/S) and Callie DeSchryver (2.72 K/S) join Norris to form a balanced front line.
  • Setters Tyler Peluso (5.53 assists/set) and Megan Kelly (4.30) continue to guide the Royals' two-setter system.
  • Libero Tilley Collins anchors the defense with 4.06 digs per set, and Queens averages 2.23 blocks per set as a team.
  • The Royals are 5–4 in road matches this season and have posted six sweeps overall.

  • Outside hitter Taly Cloyd leads the offense with 226 kills (2.86/set) on .216 hitting.
  • Libero Reagan Anderson averages 4.03 digs per set to anchor the defense.
  • Setters Brooklynn Merrell (4.78 assists/set) and Sarah Butler (3.99) share duties in a 6–2 offense.
  • Addi Hultquist leads the team with 27 service aces (0.36/set), while Austin Peay is 0–8 at home this fall.
