LAKE NORMAN- Queens University of Charlotte's 
Beth Cook raced to a first-place finish at today's NCAA DI East Region Qualifier, helping lead the Royals to their fourth straight East Region Championship title.
 
The Royals, ranked fourth nationally, defeated No. 1 Arizona State and No. 3 San Francisco to come out on top. The win over Arizona State was the first for Queens since 2016.  
This is the first East Region Qualifier win with Director of Triathlon 
Miles Fowler at the helm.

"Before this race, I told the ladies all we had to do was show up and be ourselves and the results would take care of themselves. We showed up, raced for each other, and the result took care of itself.
 
This is a huge win for our program and sets up positive momentum heading into nationals in two weeks.

Queens will be back in action on November 8, competing in the NCAA DI National Championship in Tempe, Ariz.
