CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Miles Fowler has stepped down as Queens University of Charlotte's Director of Triathlon, the University announced. Fowler was promoted to lead Queens' three triathlon programs last August after serving as head men's and women's club triathlon coach since the 2022 season.
 
"Coach Fowler has had a hand in the growth and success of our triathlon programs for the past 11 seasons, having been a student-athlete competing for the Royals before joining the coaching staff," Queens director of athletics Cherie Swarthout stated. "Words can't express how grateful we are to him for the dedication he has shown to building our triathlon programs into one of the best in the nation. We will miss him in the Queen City, and we wish him and his family all the best."
 
Fowler led Queens' NCAA triathlon team to a fourth-place finish at the 2025 DI National Championship before leading the men's and women's club teams to their sixth USAT Combined Collegiate Club National Championship. Additionally, the Royals' mixed relay team won the program's third straight title this past spring. 
 
In total, Fowler led the Royals to four consecutive USAT Collegiate Club Combined National Championships and a pair of men's national titles. Additionally, he had a hand in the 2022 combined and men's triathlon national championships as an assistant coach. The Royals have also won five mixed team relay championships with Fowler on staff.
 
The search for a new Queens director of triathlon is currently underway.
