Queens Opens ASUN Play with Quality Draw against Reigning League Champions from Lipscomb

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In the first Atlantic Sun matchup of the 2024 season, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team played the reigning league champions from Lipscomb to a scoreless 0-0 draw. The impressive performance was established by a solid backline effort, leading to the Royals first clean sheet of the season, and the 10th in Division 1.

TURNING POINT
Despite a scoreless column from both offenses, the Royals backline shined to keep the Bisons off the board. Queens earned 90-minute performances from Samuel Idinge, Roberto Alvarez, Leontios Zacharia, Caleb Woodard, Rodrigo Canovas, and Matheus Rhormens. A rookie earning his second straight start, Rhormens improved to 1-0-1 in net as he turned in four saves after facing 21 shots for the second straight outing.

KEY STATS & NOTES
  • Junior forward Michel Feldman finished the evening with one shot across 57 minutes of work. The Frankfurt, Germany native has ripped a shot in back-to-back outings.
