CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team (2-7, 1-4) returned home to Dickson Field this afternoon to face Jacksonville University (7-4, 4-1), falling 19-5 to the Dolphins
HOW IT HAPPENED
After sticking with the Dolphins in the opening quarter, the Royals found themselves trailing just 6-3 at the half. However, Jacksonville's offense would come alive in the second half as they outscored Queens 13-2 to clinch today's win.
KEY STATS & NOTES
- Braden McNamara earned his first start of the year and went on to score the first two goals of his collegiate career to lead Queens' offense.
- Ryan Lightsey, Ryan McDaniel, and Jack Royer each added one goal.
- Jacob Greiner led the Dolphins with six goals and four assists.
- Queens was outshot 52-32, putting 16 shots on goal compared to 30 shots on goal by the Dolphins.
- Queens totaled 21 ground balls while Jacksonville tallied 31. The Dolphins also led in face off wins, 19-9.
