The Short Story:Â Junior
Dillon Lewis tied the single-season program record with his 16
th home run as the Royals dropped a Wednesday night showdown with Radford.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Radford struck first in the top of the second inning plating four runs on three hits. After consecutive singles to lead off the inning, Royals starter
Tanner Cullen retired the next two via strikeouts. The Highlanders would load the bases on a walk before Conner Butler sent a first-pitch grand slam over the left-field fence.
-The visitors extended their lead in the top of the third with a pair of runs. The Highlanders capitalized on three walks and two hit-by-pitches to grab a 6-0 lead.
-Radford broke the game open in the top of the fourth with four runs on three hits and one Queens error. The scoring was capped off by an RBI double to left field from Gavin Troutman.
-Queens answered in the bottom half of the fourth. After
Zach Weston reached on an error by the center fielder, Queens worked three straight walks to plate their first run.
-The Royals added another run in the bottom of the fifth inning when
Dillon Lewis blasted his 16
th home run of the season.
-For the third straight frame, Queens cut into the deficit plating three runs in the sixth inning. The Royals managed to load the bases on free passes before a
Keanu Spenser walk brought home the first run. With nobody out, the Highlanders went to their bullpen and
Colin Gross greeted the new arm with an RBI single up the middle.
Dillon Lewis would ground into a double play, but another run came across to score and cut the Highlanders lead to 11-5.
-Radford answered in the top of the seventh inning as a leadoff walk and single through the right side put runners on the corners. Radford exchanged a run for an out to grow their lead back to 12-5.
-For the sixth inning, the visitors plated a run as the Highlanders put up a three spot in the eighth to extend their lead to 15-5. A leadoff home run from Garrett Pancione highlighted the inning.
-Radford exploded for seven runs on three hits and one Queens error in the top of the ninth to seal the 22-5 win.
BY THE NUMBERS
-Junior
Dillon Lewis posted his 25
th multi-hit game of the season with a 2-for-5 evening. Lewis led off the game with a double to extend his team-high to 13. Later in the game, the left fielder blasted his 16
th home run of the season which tied the single-season program record.

Colin Gross turned in his first multi-hit game of his career with a 2-for-4 game, including an RBI.
-Outfielder
Matthew Corlew finished 1-for-5 on the night. The senior has turned in a hit in seven of his last nine games.
-Veteran infielder
Zach Weston laced his eighth double of the season.
-
Tyler Peters and
Mason Kelly each worked a pair of walks.
-Freshman
Jack Brooker made his 15
th appearance on the season and worked a scoreless frame with a strikeout.
-The Royals pitching staff issued 15 walks and five hit-by-pitches.

Queens will return to ASUN action this weekend when they travel to Jacksonville University for a three-game series. The first pitch is scheduled for Friday, April 26
th at 7:00 p.m.
