CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte Royals (9-7, 3-2) fell 10-7 to Jacksonville University (7-8, 5-0) this afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing just one goal heading into the second quarter, Queens would find themselves behind by four following a three-goal run by the Dolphins. A goal from
Ainsley Thurston with 2:12 to play in the half then cut the margin to three, 7-4, heading into the break.
Following the weather delay, the two teams traded goals to close the third. Queens then scored two in a row in the fourth to pull within two, 9-7, but that was as close as they would get before the Dolphins scored the final goal of the game with 2:30 left in regulation to give the game its final score.
