DETROIT, Mich. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team (2-6, 1-3) traveled to face Detroit Mercy (1-7, 1-2) this afternoon, falling 12-7 to the Titans.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Leading by just one goal heading into the second quarter, the Titans outscored the Royals 6-3 in the second period to take control of the game today.
The Royals closed the gap to two, 8-6, heading into the final 15 minutes of action, but Detroit Mercy would outscore Queens 4-1 in the period to solidify the win.
KEY STATS & NOTES
- Drew Kessenich led the Titans with three goals while Aidan Bishop and Luke Majick added two goals each.
- Queens was outshot 44-37, putting 19 shots on goal compared the Detroit Mercy's 25 shots on goal.
- Queens totaled 33 ground balls while the Titans tallied 25.
