THE SHORT STORY: The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team saw their winning streak snapped at the buzzer on Thursday night in a 90-88 shootout at Lipscomb.

BY THE NUMBERS
- ASUN Player of the Week AJ McKee kept up his stellar play as he led the Royals with 23 points on the evening, including a blistering 4-for-6 from behind-the-arc. The Charlotte native eclipsed the 20-point mark for the 10th time this season.
- The back-to-back ASUN Newcomer of the Week Deyton Albury stuffed the stat sheet notching his third double-double of the season. The Nassau native poured in 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out a team-high six assists. Albury has eclipsed double figures in 16 straight outings.
- Senior forward BJ McLaurin was on fire from three-point range knocking down four to match his career-high. The Fayetteville native finished the evening with 16 points and seven boards.
- Georgetown transfer Malcolm Wilson provided a spark off the bench for the Royals as the seven-footer went a perfect 4-for-4 from the field netting eight points. Wilson added a pair of blocks as he remained second in the league in blocks per game.
- For the Bisons, junior guard Derrin Boyd poured in 29 points, including the game-winner in the final seconds. Boyd was incredibly efficient with his opportunities shooting 10-for-13 from the field.
- The Bisons outpaced the fast-paced Royals totaling 21 fast break points while holding the Royals to just 10.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The first half was a back-and-forth affair as the two sides traded leads back-and-forth. Queens shot a blistering 51 percent from the field while Lipscomb shot 48 percent as the Royals took a slim 46-42 lead into the break.
- The Bisons came out on fire in the second half jumping out to a 6-0 run. The Bisons would continue their momentum taking their largest lead of the game at 76-67 with 8:53 to play.
- The Royals slowly trimmed away at the host's lead. A Chris Ashby three would slice the Bison lead to just 87-84 with 2:04 to play. Following some missed free throws by Lipscomb, Deyton Albury flew by the Bison defense to knot the game 88-88 with 10 seconds to play. However, Derrin Boyd would fly up the right side of the court before knocking in an acrobatic reverse layup to seal the victory for the Bisons.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Both squads were incredibly potent on the offensive side of the ball. The Bisons shot 52 percent from the field while the Royals shot 50 percent from the field. The mark was the Royals second-consecutive game eclipsing 50 percent shooting from the field.
- The difference in the game proved to be at the free-throw line as the Bisons got there more often. Lipscomb shot an efficient 10-for-13 from the charity stripe, including 9-for-12 in the second half while the Royals only went 4-for-7 from the foul line in the game. The marks for Queens were a season-low in attempts and makes.
- The hosting Bisons received a huge boost from their bench as they outscored the Royals bench 23-15.
- The Royals struggles on the road continued as they fell to 0-13 on the road. In all five ASUN road games, the Royals have lost by an average of 5.8 points, including three games which were decided by one possession.
