THE SHORT STORY
Playing in their second game in the BeeHive State in the last 24 hours, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team dropped a Wednesday night tilt with the BYU Cougars, a program that is receiving votes in the latest AP Top 25. Both offenses were burying shots from downtown as they combined to make 26 three-pointers.
BY THE NUMBERS

Maban Jabriel and
Jaxon Pollard led the Royals with nine points each. Making his fourth collegiate appearance, Jabriel went 3-of-3 from downtown and grabbed two boards, dished out an assist, and blocked two shots.

Yoav Berman turned in eight points, three rebounds, and an assist across 23 minutes of work.
-Center
Malcolm Wilson added six points on an efficient 3-of-4 shooting while pulling down four rebounds and blocking three shots.

Asjon Anderson totaled seven points behind a pair of three-pointers. The Tacoma, Washington native also swiped a steal for the third time this season.

Kalib Mathews rounded out the offense with a combined 10 points.
-Four Cougars reached double figures as Dawson Baker led the way with 22 points, including an impressive 6-of-7 night from downtown. Keba Keita turned in an 11-point and 13-rebound double-double.
-The high-octane BYU offense managed to shoot 51 percent on the night, including a 43-percent clip from downtown.
-The Cougars controlled the boards 59-22, including a 21-3 margin on the offensive glass. The aggressiveness on the offensive glass translated to 22 second-chance points for the Cougars.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Wednesday night saw very different starts from both squads as BYU jumped out to a 21-2 lead within the first six minutes. The Cougars shot 9-for-14 while holding Queens to a 1-for-11 mark from the field during that span. The Cougars put together a 12-0 run which forced a 30-second timeout from the Royals.
-The visiting Royals eventually settled in and closed the final five minutes of the first half on a 21-13 run. During that run, the Royals connected on six shots from downtown.
-After
Bryce Cash buried a three-pointer to get the second half underway, the Royals went into a four-minute scoring drought while the Cougars countered with a 9-0 run to extend their lead to 31 heading into the first media timeout of the second half.

-The last Queens opponent to bury 15 shots from behind the arc in a game was North Florida (16) last season.

Chris Ashby saw his 10-game three-point streak snapped in the loss. The streak was the fifth-longest streak in Division 1 program history.
