JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Queens University of Charlotte's cross country teams delivered strong performances at the ASUN Championships, with the women finishing eighth and the men seventh, each competing among 12 teams.
Freshman standout Simone Mouras earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team, becoming the first female in Queens' Division I history to receive this honor and marking the second overall for the program, following Victor Tvistholm Jorgensen's Male All-Freshman selection in 2023.
Sarah Watts added to the Royals' accolades with a spot on the Third Team All-ASUN. Her honor marks only the second female All-ASUN award in Queens' Division I history, and third overall, following Letizia Martinelli and Mitch Cox's Third Team All-ASUN selections in 2022.
"I am excited about the way our team competed in a championship setting today," said Associate Head Coach Will Crocker. "Many of our athletes achieved personal bests, which is exactly what you hope to see in the season's final race. Sarah Watts earning All-ASUN honors reflects her hard work all season, and Simone Mouras' spot on the All-Freshman Team shows her potential for a bright future."
