Queens Picks Up Valuable League Points with Third Clean Sheet at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In their third Atlantic Sun showdown of the 2024 season, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team picked up another draw with a 0-0 clean sheet at Bellarmine on Saturday night. The shutout marked the Royals third of the season, and 12th in Division 1 as Queens improved to 3-5-2 overall and 1-0-2 in league play.

TURNING POINT
Despite being outshot 17-12 on the night, the Royals generated opportunities with seven corner kicks. One of Queens' best scoring chances came in the 62nd minute when the Royals threatened with the ball in the box. Graduate student Caio Brandao settled the ball with a pass to Leontios Zacharia's boot at the top of the box. The rookie settled it before ripping a shot which struck the crossbar before being cleared by the Knights backline. Queens would generate more opportunities later in the second half, but the Knights defense held strong to keep the Royals off the board.
