Queens Welcomes Stetson and FGCU to Charlotte This Weekend

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  — The Royals are back home inside the Levine Center for the first time since Oct. 20 to take on the Stetson Hatters and the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in ASUN play this weekend. 

Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN Plus, and statistical coverage can be found on the Queens official StatBroadcast page.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Royals went 0-2 last weekend on the road, falling to Central Arkansas in a 3-0 decision before pushing North Alabama to the limit in a five-setter on Sunday, Oct. 27. 
- Notably, senior Kendall Buish was outstanding on the assist- averaging 10 per set in an 80-assist weekend. Buish tallied a season-high 56 assists against North Alabama, just three assists short of her career-high 59 assists she cumulated against Jacksonville in 2022. On the ASUN leaderboard, Buish ranks fifth in average assists per set on the season (9.1).
- Also among the leaderboards for the Royals is Tilley Collins, averaging 3.7 digs per set and ranking in eighth place.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Stetson:
- Stetson's attack is led by Anabelle Standish with 255 kills (331 per set). The team averages 10.6 kills per set, which ranks last in the ASUN.
- Defensively, the Hatters averages 15.9 digs per set, with senior Haruka Sugimoto (348 digs) leading the way (5th in ASUN).
- Deng's squad at the net averages 2.39 blocks per set. Kayla Balfour and Ayala Halfon lead Stetson with 55 and 77 total blocks respectively (3rd & 4th in the ASUN)

Florida Gulf Coast:
- FGCU's ASUN-leading offense is led by Shelby Kent with 350 kills (1st in ASUN) and Skylar English with 264 kills. As a team, they average 13.4 kills per set, with a hitting percentage of .250.
- They are solid defensively, with 13.5 digs per set. Claire Ertel commands the defensive effort with a team-leading 223 digs from the backline.
 - The Eagles average 2.4 blocks per set. Ella Chapman, sophomore middle blocker, averages a team-leading block per set and also contributes offensively with a .332 hitting percentage (2nd in ASUN)
- The team has served an impressive 180 aces this season, with English leading the way with 54 (1st in ASUN).
