CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (2-12) played their final home match of the season this morning, falling 3-0 to Lock Haven University (3-14.

INSIDE THE MATCH
After holding the Bald Eagles scoreless in the opening period, Queens trailed 1-0 at the halftime break when Lock Haven's Alexis Kern found the back of the cage off a save.
 
The Royals were still in the game in the second half until the Bald Eagles broke through again with a goal in the 50
th minute to move ahead 2-0. An insurance goal then followed for Lock Haven in the 56
th to give the match its final score.   
 
KEY STATS & NOTES
	- Queens was outshot 21-2, putting one shot on goal compared to Lock Haven's 13.
- The Royals earned four penalty corners compared to Lock Haven's six.
- Madison Destefano finished play with 10 saves. She has recorded double-digit saves in six games this season.
- Karlee Alt, Sofia Arato, Cassie McKenzied, Mickayla Clark, Kennedy Bratton, and Sarah Quigley were recognized for their careers prior to the start of the match.
