THE SHORT STORY: The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis fall short 4-3 against Gardner-Webb in home opener on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ram Mude picked up his first singles win of the season in No. 5 singles winning 6-2, 6-3.
-Laurenz Blickwede recorded a No.2 singles win in three sets. Blickwede won the first set 6-1, dropped the second set 2-6, and won the match with a 6-2 mark.
-For the second consecutive match Filippo Verdese won the last Royals point of the match, winning No.6 singles. The match went to three sets and after losing the first set 0-6, Verdese won back-to-back sets 6-4, 6-3.
NEXT UP
The Royals are back in action on Sunday February 4th at Presbyterian College. The match is set to begin at 1:00 pm.
