SIMS, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte club triathlon team swept their second triathlon meet of the season Saturday as they shined at the annual Battle at Buckhorn triathlon meet.
What Happened?
• The women placed first in the race with
Jana Millat in the lead with a time of 01:23:09.253,
Emma Teneza then followed in second place with a time of 01:23:42.130.
• To seal the team win, Francesca Martinez Ramirez finished in 3rd place and
Martyna Bugala finished 4th.
• On the men's side,
Dan O'Dell finished first in the race with a time of 01:07:47.350.
Alex Urling then followed in second place with a time of 01:12:54.390.

Joe Guthinger and Alvaro Rivero Franco finished 3rd and 4th to give Queens the win and sweep the triathlon meet.

"Another awesome day of Royals triathlon racing. We had some great Queens debuts by some of our freshmen and our upperclassmen continue to set the standard in collegiate triathlon. Next week we have our first of two conference championship races, and this team is ready to ride to the occasion."
What's Next?
The Royals will race in their first conference championship race of the season as they will travel to Lake Anna, VA to compete in the MACTC Championship Olympic Distance Triathlon on Saturday, October 7th.
